I
was born a winter child with an instinctive love for art, but most of all it was my imagination that became the
source for my work.
My work is created
similar to auto writing. I do not question what is taking place. My drawings start as a line on a blank paper and go
off from there, drifting and weaving around the page. I have
no idea where it will take me or what it will be. Each new curve or line opens another door, until the
full image begins to take form in front of me, very much like putting a puzzle of shades and tones together,
but without a guide of any kind.... In 2003 I began to create Abstract art on glass...It has much of the same style,
however this is created in full color on the reverse side of a pane of glass, removed from the view of my eyes,
where I cannot see what is taking place, which adds a full factor of true inspirational freedom to each painting. Leaving
the finished product to be a painting of imagination itself.
After
a drying time of twenty four hours, I can then turn over the painting and see (for the first time), what was created.
My paintings are not about what you can see. They are about what you think you
see.
